Working with Us ...
(Short-term Consultancy)
The Division for the Reconstruction and Development of Education Systems (ED/ERD) provides its support for the elaboration of national policies, strategies and action plans as well as the mobilization of national and external resources for the reconstruction and reform of their education systems. The Division often calls on the external consultants to work for UNESCO Member States on a short term period.
The main objectives of the work of the Division, which varies according to the local context, are:
| to develop sustainable sector policies, strategies and programmes within a short or long term timeframe, based on national dialogue and consensus building; | |
| to strengthen national capacity to prepare national policies and programmes; | |
| to help strengthen national capacity in the field of research, planning, design, construction, management and maintenance of educational buildings and furniture for all educational levels; | |
| to facilitate the national co-ordination of the policy dialogue with the Governments external partners in order to mobilize funding sources within a sector-wide national programme framework. |
