Learning Without Frontiers' What's New
With the current update (27 and 28 June 1999), we have included
a new section on the Open Learning
Communities activity which is unfolding under the coordination
of LWF and the NGO Program on Literacy and Education for All.
This new section includes an invitation to the Workshop and several
discussion papers.
Some new documents were added (on the 28th):
- Susanne Schnuttgen (1997). 'Open
Learning Communities Under Construction: Are NGOs Contributing
to the Process?', Comparative and International Education
Society (CIES) Conference on Education, Democracy and Development
at the Turn of the Century, Mexico City.
- Jurgen Zimmer, Gunter Faltin, David Becker et al.
'Transforming Community Schools into Open Learning Communities:
A Resource Paper',, International Community Education Association
- International Academy (INA/ICEA)
- Project Proposal Mozambique
Following up on the activities reflected in the three documents
below, LWF has now produced a project proposal consisting of
three parts. The first part outlines the proposal of the project
and particularly concerns activities which will be implemented
in the Province of Nampula. The second document is
of a macro nature, and concerns the establishment and structure
of a Foundation for Learning Without Frontiers in Mozambique,
which will promote and disseminate this concept, and which will
be responsible for the implementation of the project. The third
part, which is still under preparation, will define the modes
of collaboration
between the main parties involved in this project.
