Your looking at a list of links to lists of links. Unfortunately many sites don't do much else than listing to each other... Some don't

  • DevMedia. Devmedia began as an e-mail listserve in 1994 to help exchange information on "Media for Development and Democracy." Now, with Devmedia web site they have a variety of new ways to stay informed and share information. List listserve members and Devmedia web site users generally include people interested in participatory and community uses of media: radio, video TV, and the Internet. (in English, French and Spanish!)

  • Science Bookmarks. 94481 bytes of science bookmarks! Quite some list, but plenty of resources worthwhile looking at...

  • The World Library Partnership. Interested in book donation programs? Want to know more about libraries in developing countries and organizations that support them? Check out this rich site, with information on how your library can receive books

  • EdWeb. The purpose of this site is to explore the worlds of educational reform and information technology. "With EdWeb, you can hunt down on-line educational resources around the world, learn about trends in education policy and information infrastructure development, examine success stories of computers in the classroom, and much, much more." Check out the EdWeb K-12 Resource Guide, including the Online Discussion Groups and Electronic Journals. A very exhaustive list of online discussion groups and electronic journals related to education, learning, instructional design and what more. Regularly updated!

  • K-12 links. An apparently rich link to K-12 links

  • GT-EAD - Grupo Temático em Educação à Distância. A Portugese language site, including information on distance education in Brazil.

  • Education World. A search engine which allows searches along an index or keyword search in a database with resources, course materials and other stuff for planners, teachers, learners, and other interested surfers.

  • Creative Response To Conflict. Resources for community-building, peacemaking & conflict resolution in communities around the world. Rich, lots of links to exciting sites, with attention for spirituality, and a little different...

  • Blue Webn. A searchable database of outstanding Internet learning sites categorized by subject area, audience, and type (lessons, activities, projects, resources, references, & tools). Blue Web'n does not attempt to catalog all educational sites, but only the most useful sites -- especially online activities targeted at learners.

  • Assistive Technology Web Report. An independent Web newsletter to help inform anyone with an interest in or need for more information concerning assistive technologies or related resources for disabled persons. In addition, it provides informational links to AT-related online resources, organizations, regional centers, publications, vendors, and conferences.

  • Education Virtual Library. Rather then searching for sites, FIND THEM! For example in the area of learning theory, cognitive science, human computer interaction, neuropsychology, constructivism, instructional design and more...

  • INFO 21. This site is designed as a repository and resource website for a broad range of IT issues for development practitioners, especially in the field, but also for researchers and policy makers . It provides a host of hyperlinks under each section - e.g. regions, sectors (including education, commerce, community centers) but also UN/UNDP and non-UN activities.

  • AVIVA, Women's World Wide Web. A free 'Webzine', being run by an International group of women based in London. It provides free monthly listings of women's groups & events worldwide. Aviva needs the input of groups and individuals around the world to provide information for free listings and offers to act as Website 'host' to Women's Groups and Services globally. Check out this site!

  • Commonwealth of Learning. A comprehensive site with documentation, resources, links to distance education sources all over the Commonwealth. They have a page with global distance education sources, providing links to relevant institutions, as well as a SchoolNet Resource Centre where you are able to find lots of useful information and resources.
