: Workshop training for journalists on Education for All, Dushanbe, 29-30 July, 2004
The workshop training was organized by UNESCO Almaty and National Commission for UNESCO in Tajikistan within the framework of UNESCO Main Line of Action 'Promoting Education for All through media and information channels'. Participants of the workshop training were trained on how to cover issues relating to the Education for All (EFA) Programme in Tajikistan. 35 media professionals and Education officials shared the experience. The Third Annual Meeting of the Central Asia Education Forum
The Third Annual Meeting of the Central Asia Education Forum took place in Tashkent, on 11 and 12 May. Bringing together high-level government officials, representatives of donor agencies, NGOs and academia, the Forum focused on gender equality in education. The EFA Global Monitoring Report 2003/04, which is also devoted to the issue of gender and Education for All was launched during the Forum.
The objective of the Forum is to generate dialogue amongst education policy-makers in the Central Asian Republics and Kazakhstan (CARK), to support commitments to the maintenance of quality and universal basic education. More
