The International Directory on Environmental Education Institutions provides an extensive list of about 600 EE training and research institutions around the world, comprising universities, research institutions, NGOs, training institutions and others.This electronic version of the International Directory is the latest of an often revised publication, first published in 1971.

It represents another effort to accomplish UNESCO's role as a clearing house and provider of international information networks, that facilitates the exchange of information, knowledge and materials on Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development at large.

The directory contains brief information on each institution such as: name, address, website, geographical coverage; working language; type of institution; area of interest; subjects and courses; target groups; services and publications. Should you be interested in more detailed information on activities, courses, application proceedures or scholarships, kindly contact the institution directly. Since new institutions and courses are created every year we try to regularly up-date the list and would be grateful if you would provide us with such information.
