The Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (IIZ/DVV) is operating nationally and internationally. Established in 2000, the office in Sofia is focusing its work on basic education, vocational education and training and democratization in the framework of lifelong learning. IIZ/DVV Sofia has been the initiator and national coordinator of the Lifelong Learning Days in Bulgaria since 2001.
