Sponsorships
To obtain funds for adult education is never easy, but it is worth a try!
Here you will find some examples that might help you to find resources and
support for your learning festival. More information and advice on this
issue can also be found under the section “Cooperation Models” ->
with funding agencies.

Nature of Funds:
How to Access the Funds:
Call for tenders
In some countries, the Ministry of Education will issue a public invitation to co-finance institutions and groups hosting events of the learning festival. Providers and coordinators could then apply by submitting their work plans and preliminary budgets and may obtain financial support for their involvement in the festival.
Donations
Very often, books are presented to award winners during the opening ceremony of the festival. To save costs, you might contact publishing houses and ask them to donate the books.
Foundations
Write to foundations (search for those interested in education, culture and social issues in the internet) and send them all the material about your ALW. Of course, you will promise them to use their logo in your publicity materials.
Free collaboration of artists
Artists may be very interested to collaborate for free in your public exhibitions or events: wheelie they gain public attention and prestige, you profit from their performance and name (either for free or at reduced costs) for your festival.
Concession of space
Some of the venue and spaces you will need for your festival will have to be rented, but you should also approach the local authorities as well as commercial owners and ask for the ree concession of spaces or venues.
Conventional commercial sponsorships
Think about a theme for your ALW that ties in with the “theme” of a major company or organisation. You can arrange a meeting, discuss common interests, have a paper sent in advance which outlines how what you are proposing fits with their corporate identity and what they will get out of the partnership.
Commercial sponsorships through the internet
One possible venue is to ask providers of major internet search engines within your country to establish links to your ALW website by using a banner that is published on their website.
Revenues generated by gambling taxes
Depending on the legal framework, the respective authority in your country can be approached and asked for a share from this tax. The amount should then be handed on to the regional and local ALW coordinators for local ALW activities.
