International Award for Literacy
Research - New Cycle 2001/2002 Opened!
It is a great pleasure for us to be able to announce that finally, after the numerous requests that have reached us at UIE, a new cycle of the International Award for Literacy Research has been opened! Our long-standing sponsor of this competition, the Canadian Government and notably the National Literacy Secretariat (NLS) operating under the Department for Human Resources Development, has renewed its commitment to the competition. As a second partner in support of the Award, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) has come in to enable the opening of the new cycle. Thanks to both partners! We are, thus, inviting researchers all over the world to send their manuscripts to UIE by 31 December 2001. Please keep in mind that the Award is meant to honour research work! Even if interesting and well done, we cannot consider project reports. Manuscripts need to be written in English, French, or Spanish. The author of the winning study will not only receive the amount of US$ 10,000. The study will also be translated by UIE and published in English, French and Spanish! Please check our CALL FOR PAPERS
(in English, French
and Spanish, pdf-format) for more details!
We are looking forward to reading and learning about the new insights you
have dug out and the fresh perspectives and reflexions you have engaged
in - and so are people in the field and policy makers worldwide.
