The Working Group on Education for All will take place at UNESCO-Paris,

| Terms
of Reference and Composition of the Working Group |
|
| |
|
To follow-up the World Education Forum, Dakar, Senegal, 26-28
April 2000, the Director-General of UNESCO has decided to convene
a Working Group on Education for All. This group, that will
be chaired by the Assistant Director-General for Education,
will serve as an informal mechanism to provide technical guidance
to the EFA movement. It will create and sustain partnerships,
support regional and sub-regional networks, and will ensure
proper linkages among flagship inter-agency programmes, within
the Dakar follow-up process as a whole. It will facilitate donor
coordination at national, regional and international levels.

The Working Group, numbering about 35, will bring together representatives
of the following constituencies: developing countries and countries
in transition; bilateral, multilateral and regional agencies;
representatives from civil society organizations, non-governmental
organizations and private foundations, as well as from the OECD
and the G8. |

| Objectives |

|
As detailed in the attached provisional agenda, the meeting
will be composed of three main parts: a) information sharing
on progress and constraints in Dakar follow-up by participants,
b) in-depth discussion on strategic issues based on conceptual
/ methodological papers prepared for the meeting and c) suggestions
for the agenda of the meeting of the high level group. |
