UNESCO Amman has noticeably consolidated its role within the UN Country Team (UNCT) by making substantial contributions towards common UN activities and joint programmes. Beside the joint UN MDG-F project "Adaptation to Climate Change to Sustain Jordan’s MDG Achievements", a joint Disaster Risk Reduction project with UNICEF, and the SESAME (International centre for Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East) project, among others and under the umbrella of the UN Country Team in Jordan, UNESCO is chairing the UN Communications Group (UNCG).
