UNESCO Beirut releases Regional Consultation Report on HIV Prevention
During the Regional Consultation - the Role of Higher Education Institutions in the Arab Region in HIV Prevention, higher education officials and experts from the region met in Cairo on 2 June 2009 to consider and discuss the role and contribution of Higher Education Institutions in HIV prevention and made policy recommendations.
The attached report summarizes the main issues discussed including research, curricula, teacher training, policies, cultural approaches, student services.
The Regional Consultation was organized by UNESCO Beirut - Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States, in collaboration with UNESCO Amman, Cairo, Rabat and Khartoum, in parallel to the ARCHE +10 Experts Meeting.
