Pathways of Thought: New Languages, New Societies
14-04-2010
"Pathways of Thought" grew out of a small group of researchers and philosophers who assembled during the 27th session of UNESCO’s General Conference to look into the Organization’s philosohical legacy in light of the world’s diversity of knowledge and wisdom and of the paradigms arising from the large scale transformations occurring in our day and age.
The first intuitions, assembled in Thinking at Crossroads: In Search of New Languages (coordinated by Eduardo Portella, 2002), were followed by over fifteen international seminars and a dozen publications in five languages, developed with the cooperation of over 200 intellectuals from diverse cultural and scholarly backgrounds.
