Suhad Varin

Team assistant

Suad Varin joined UNESCO in 2003 and worked in the Division of Conferences, Languages and Documents as secretary of the Arab translation Unit. During her almost three years there, she broadened her experience to include liaison with external translators, drawing up contracts, using FABS, and keeping track of weekly statistics concerning the work flow.

She joined the GMR team in March 2007, where all these skills serve her well as team assistant. Suhad holds a diploma in air traffic control and before come to Paris worked at the FAO representation in Baghdad as air traffic controller, then as the Representative’s secretary responsible for public relations.
