The publication of each new edition of the EFA Global Monitoring Report is the occasion for taking stock about progress made - or not made - and generating renewed interest for moving the EFA agenda forward. Official launchings and related events are held in different parts of the world throughout the year.

They draw attention to important issues and help to get the message across to different audiences.

  Nigeria national launch of GMR 2009 - UN Hall, Abuja, Nigeria - Scheduled to occur during Global Action Week, this day-long policy event will bring together the Nigeria Federal Ministry of Education, UNESCO, the 36 States Commissioners of Education, civil society, private sector stakeholders, the EFA Coordination Unit, and the Education Sector Support Programme in Nigeria (ESSPIN) – a six-year programme established by the Nigerian Government in Partnership with the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DfID).
