    Oxfam GB is a development, relief, and campaigning organisation dedicated to finding lasting solutions to poverty and suffering around the world. Oxfam is an independent British organisation, registered as a charity, affiliated to Oxfam International, with partners, volunteers, supporters, and staff of many nationalities. Oxfam is campaigning for governments and institutions to increase funding to basic education.

    The Right to Education Project aims to promote social mobilisation and legal accountability, looking to focus on the legal challenges to the right to education. The cornerstones of the Project is this wide-reaching website, ongoing research and a wide network of human rights and education activists.
  • Roma Education Initiative
    The Roma Education Initiative (REI) is run by Soros Foundations and the Open Society Institute (OSI). It advocates for systemic policy changes that work against segregation and all forms of racial discrimination of Roma children in the school systems of Central, Eastern and Southeast Europe.

  • United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF)
    Created by the United Nations General Assembly in 1946 to help children after World War II in Europe, UNICEF was first known as the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund. In 1953, UNICEF became a permanent part of the United Nations system, its task being to help children living in poverty in developing countries.
  • United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
    UNDP is the UN's global development network, on the ground in 166 countries, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. World leaders have pledged to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, including the overarching goal of cutting poverty in half by 2015. UNDP's network links and coordinates global and national efforts to reach these Goals.
