Global Monitoring Report policy analyst joins cable TV panel on the new school year in Africa



A twenty-minute panel discussion, interspersed with on-site coverage from Burkina Faso and DR Congo, was aired on France Ô last week. Nicole Bella from the Education for All Global Monitoring Report team and Mahfou Diouf of Aid and Action responded to questions about the problems facing children of primary school age, their parents and teachers in poor African countries, but also highlighted the considerable gains being made by these same countries when they fully committed to realizing free, universal primary education for all children.
