Literacy takes a stand at the Frankfurt Book Fair
The Frankfurt Book Fair will devote an exhibition space to literacy for the first time this year.
The initiative is part of the Frankfurt Book Fair Literacy Campaign (LitCam), a conference organised by the book fair and the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning.
The conference, entitled Literacy and Integration, takes place on Oct 14 and 15 and speakers include Adama Ouane, Director of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning and Jurgen Boos, Director of the Frankfurt Book Fair.
The event also includes workshops, presentations by learners and an exhibition by international organizations working in the field of literacy and basic education. The exhibition can be seen throughout the book fair which runs from October 15 to 19.
