UNESCO Rotating Chair in Intercultural Humanities (74), established in 1994 within the framework of the Santander Group, at the National University of Côte d'Ivoire and University of Ghana, Legon (Côte d'Ivoire).

Philosophy; Social sciences.

Objectives

  • To promote close co-operation between European and West African universities, as well as between universities of English- and French-speaking West African countries, and an interdisciplinary approach and intercultural perspective in teaching and research of philosophy and social sciences.
  • To enhance capacity building of the faculties/departments through other means, such as provision of material (textbooks, literature).
