Objectives
- To constitute in Maputo a center which coordinates the activities of health, training and research referring to the African endomyocardic fibrosis.
- To promote the effectiveness of this institution as a cardiologic diagnostic center and hematologic, parasitic and epidemiologic analysis laboratory.
- To strengthen local vaccination centers to allow an early detection of this affection on the children, and to launch a prevention campaign.
- To locally train medical and paramedical staff.
- To organize training courses and exchanges of French specialists in the fields of cardio-pediatrics, nutrition and parasitology.
- To take part in the development of a postgraduate’s degree in cardiopediatrics by locally ensuring the training.
