Objectives

  • The purpose of the Chair shall be to promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation in the field of ecotechnie.
  • It will serve as a means of facilitating collaboration between high-level, internationally recognized researchers and teaching staff of the University and other institutions in the Arab region..
  • The objectives of the activities undertaken by the Chair shall be: to promote the development of an interdisciplinary approach in education, training, research and policy-making in the field of environment and sustainable development, drawing on ecology, environmental, human and socio-economic sciences and technology, particularly oriented to small island environments and coastal ecosystems.
