Objectives

  • To promote through teaching, research, informational and / or creative practice, understanding of the role of communication and freedom of expression in human life, its centrality in the production of a free, developed and just society, and therefore its status as a fundamental human right.
  • To develop, through teaching, research, information and/or documentation activities, knowledge of the history, foundations, institutions, ethics and philosophy of freedom of expression and democratic exchange, and the problems and challenges (technological, social, cultural and political) facing free communication and expression in different periods and societies; etc.
