Objectives
The general objectives of this Chair are to contribute to:
- creating greater awareness about the Right to Education as developed by instruments elaborated by UNESCO and the United Nations and containing concrete provisions for its realization;
- promoting UNESCO’s normative action and undertaking, at the national and regional levels, research and academic work on such normative action, as well as on national legal system;
- raising public debate on issues of critical importance, such as universal access to education, quality education and equality of educational opportunities, notably by organizing conferences, seminars and workshops; and,
- cooperating with National Commissions for UNESCO in promoting and developing activities to the right to education.
