UNESCO Chair in Adolescent Health Care (909), established in 2010 at the University of Athens (Greece)

The Chair aims to encourage the enhancement of attention to the needs of young adults and to ensure that appropriately trained individuals are available to assist with their future development. The Chair will identify local physicians and health care professionals in the South-East European countries, who will be trained through the Adolescent Center at the University of Athens. Moreover, the Chair is intended to serve as a prototype for development of similar training centres within the collaborating countries and elsewhere.

A co-operation will be set up with the World Health Organization (WHO) within the framework of this UNESCO Chair.
