Objectives

The specific objectives of this Chair are to:

  • carry out collaborative research with partners on communication processes and their relationship with social change/problems;
  • organize a permanent research seminar on communication issues to enhance networking and the sharing of research results and good practices;
  • provide postgraduate training on communication and socio-cultural problems, and offer short-term training opportunities and scholarships, including to African students and researchers;
  • design and implement a visiting professorship programme in cooperation with African universities; and,
  • set up a platform for the exchange of ideas, resources and good practices.
