Objectives:

• To initiate, coordinate and conduct research on global trends on research and innovation systems and policies with particular emphasis on how these trends affect higher education institutions in the South;
• To disseminate and transfer knowledge about capacity-building and governance of research systems through North-South-South institutional partnerships focused on training, research seminars, research exchanges and professional education;
• To establish an internet site for storage and dissemination of knowledge on research systems.
