• To promote an integrated system of research, training, information and documentation activities in the field of solid residues and water quality.
• To establish a postgraduate study programme in environmental engineering in the Catholic University of Valparaiso.
• To develop within the University of Cantabria a master degree and a Ph.D. recognized by the University in Chile.
