Objectives
The specific objectives of this Chair are to:
- collaborate with UNESCO in the elaboration of definitions, criteria, methods and archive structures on intangible cultural heritage for international programmes, especially in the Latin America and the Caribbean region;
- conduct studies on tangible cultural heritage by developing concepts and methodologies for the understanding and conservation of cultural diversity;
- develop research in cooperation with different stockholders to strengthen the activities of intangible cultural heritage archives using digital support;
- organize seminars and workshops for capacity-building in the field of intangible cultural heritage and the diversity of cultural expressions.
