Objectives
The specific objectives of this Chair are to:
- create a critical mass of scientific capacity, distributed in several recognized regional research centres for natural products;
- train young scientist in multidisciplinary natural products research in the above-mentioned centres;
- contribute to the appreciation of biodiversity values through academic courses and media activities in the countries of the region; and,
- strengthen collaboration with private enterprises for the marketing of added value products with equity sharing of revenues
