The Roving Caregivers Programme is part of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) in Jamaica and concentrates on reaching kids who are under three and from the most disadvantaged and rural areas. It is managed by the NGO RuFamSo. 95% of children aged 4 and 5 and 60% of 3-year-olds participate in ECCE.

Samburu children near Maralal, (175 miles north of Nairobi), thrive thanks to "Loipi" community learning centres . The Loipi Project is part of Kenya's nationwide Early Childhood Care and Education programme and is funded by the Christian Childens' Fund. 85 Loipi in the Samburu district, and children from different communities gather at the closest one. Most materials used are locally made and produced and caregivers include mothers, grandmothers and other community members.
