International Music CD

A CD reflecting our Members’ artistic creativity and uniqueness through the universal language of music is a fitting way to promote and celebrate the diversity of IAU Members around the world. It is for this reason that IAU will mark this milestone in its history by producing an International Music CD of pieces composed and/ or performed by artists in the Higher Education Institutions that form part of IAU.
The CD will be offered to all participants on the occasion of the General Conference in Utrecht, in July 2008, and to all those who make a musical contribution.

Participants: all IAU Members in good standing.

Aim: submission of short pieces of music, reflecting musical traditions in Member countries or regions and performed by their institution’s orchestra, musical ensemble or choral group.

Submission criteria:

either on CD or by e-mail as an MP3 file, one or several short pieces of music (of a maximum duration of 4-6 minutes each);
the name/ title of each piece;
the name of the composer with personal data (if relevant);
the name of the performing ensemble (orchestra, choir or soloist);
a very short description of the piece;
confirmation that IAU is authorized to reproduce these pieces on its international music CD (copyright)
