Associates are well known and
respected leaders in higher education
who share some of IAU’s goals and values, and wishing to enhance their
personal
collaboration with the Association. Connected to the information
dissemination
programme, Associates attend conferences and participate in most
projects. This
status was adopted at the 12th General Conference that took
place July 2004 in Sao Paulo. IAU has
proposed to all former members to join as Associates.
