IAU Affiliate

Definition

Affiliate status is open to all non-governmental organisations and networks, national or international in nature, whose primary mandate is directly related to the mission and work of the IAU but which are not eligible to join the Association as full Members of IAU.

Benefits
  • Receipt of the quarterly newsletter IAU Horizons, World Higher Education News, the monthly electronic Bulletin (E-Bulletin) and all regular correspondence related to IAU activities;
  • A link to the IAU Website for increased visibility;
  • Priority space to make announcements in the newsletter and on the IAU website;
  • Invitations to IAU meetings and conferences;
  • Opportunity to join IAU Task Forces and to get involved in IAU projects or to develop joint initiatives.
Annual Fee

300 Euros

How to apply?

Potential IAU Affiliates may be suggested by the members of the IAU Administrative Board or by the Secretary-General.  They may also submit a written expression of interest to the IAU Secretariat, indicating the mandate of their network or organization and the reasons why an affiliation with IAU is of interest to them.  All applying organizations must submit an application to the IAU Secretariat.  An on-line application is available.

The IAU Administrative Board examines requests and determines eligibility.
