IAU Associate

Definition

Welcome as IAU Associates are individuals whose present (or past career) has been devoted to higher education in ways directly related to the mission of IAU and who occupy (or occupied) leadership positions in institutions of higher education.

However, this excludes:
  • Individuals who are heads of higher education institutions or universities eligible for full membership in the Association.
  • Individuals who occupy a position in the government.
Benefits
  • Receipt of the quarterly newsletter IAU Horizons, World Higher Education News, the monthly electronic Bulletin (E-Bulletin) and regular updates on IAU activities.
  • Invitations to IAU meetings and conferences.
  • Opportunity to get involved in IAU projects.
Annual Fee: 75 Euros
 
How to become an IAU Associate?

Individuals can be nominated by present or past IAU Administrative Board members, the Secretary-General or submit a written expression of interest to the IAU Secretariat indicating their current and past involvement in higher education administration, research or training, as well as the reasons for wanting to become an IAU Associate. The IAU Administrative Board, on the recommendation of the Secretary-General, makes decisions concerning all candidates.

All written applications must include the following minimum information:
  • Name
  • Current position
  • C.V.
  • Reasons for interest in the IAU
