for Sustainability. From Rio to Johannesburg: Lessons learnt

(UN-DESD) data collection and dissemination
Within the framework of the United Nations Decade of Education for
Sustainable Development (DESD), in order to further promote the UNDESD,
and in order to widely disseminate information on existing learning
materials on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), UNESCO and
IAU invite you to send information on teaching and learning materials
related to ESD such as: teaching approaches, teacher guidelines,
teaching kits, toolkits, textbooks, CD-Roms; etc. and any other
teaching aids.

Report Series, Australian Research Institute in Education
for Sustainability (ARIES)
ARIES has released a new series of reports that question how to
effectively educate for sustainability. Each volume reviews a specific
sector and identifies gaps and needs in Environmental Education so that
they can be strategically addressed for the future. The issues covered
make compelling reading for all those involved in the design and
delivery of Environmental Education including policy makers, funding

European Portal on Sustainable Development
The EU's Sustainable Development Strategy aims, in tandem with the
Lisbon Strategy for growth and jobs, for a more prosperous, cleaner and
fairer Europe. Sustainable Development is an overarching concept. The
EU Treaty requires the integration of sustainable development into all
European policies, so that they contribute in an integrated way to
meeting economic, environmental and social objectives.
