Education finance and management1
Access and quality call for heightened efficiency and more financial resources
What is the cost of education and who pays?
Many countries do not have a complete knowledge of how much their education system costs. They lack a steady flow of statistical information on educational expenditure.
How are the resources mobilized?
IIEP is carrying out studies on ways of operating and financing government-owned, private and community schools
How can needs be anticipated?
The essence of planning is to use data from the present to project future demands, and act now to meet them. This programme deals with long term financial planning and short term budgeting.
How to organize for better management?
The ability to undertake diagnoses, to perform organizational audits and reorganize operations can help administrative services to become more cost-efficient.
How to provide relevant and reliable information?
IIEP is providing technical support to countries seeking to improve their educational information systems.
