More than 1400 education specialists from 158 Member States have benefited from the ATP. Each year since 1965, the ATP has been bringing together around 35 trainees in Paris. They are generally experienced senior or middle-level educational practitioners or professionals.

A decision-oriented programme
The ATP trains education officers to design, manage and monitor educational development. It develops core competencies in planning, organization and financing of education.

Candidates will attend up-to-date courses, led by expert faculty
The programme is cross-disciplinary and comparative, theory-based yet practical. It covers fields such as planning, management, organizational processes, projects, budgets and educational quality. It focuses on decision-making and policy implementation, and on negotiating with different stakeholders.

A unique experience
Trainees also benefit from contact with experienced colleagues of different backgrounds and nationalities.

An option for a Master's Degree
As of 2002/2003, the Advanced Training Programme provides an option for obtaining a Master's degree.
