The meeting drew attention to the documentary tools and services available which are presented below.
UNESDOC
UNESDOC is a collective catalogue for documentation produced by HQ and the Field, it is a full text database and a repository where Sectors, Services, Field Offices and Centres should transfer all their new documents/publications/periodicals of a public nature.
This database allows one to search for all material published since 1946 as well as for administrative documents published since 1999 (except UNESCO Manual Vol. II)
>see UNESCO Manual http://unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0014/001451/145136e.pdf
UNESDOC contains 4 search forms (simple, advanced, expert and global search)
Connecting to UNESDOC through the intranet allows one to access PDF and Word files http://unesdoc.unesco.org/ulis/ru/
Searching can be made possible in Cyrillic in the ‘Title’ field and in the ‘Keywords’ fields. In the near future searching will be possible using the ‘Meeting name’ field.
