The Conservation Finance Alliance (CFA) was established
in 2002 to promote sustainable financing for biodiversity conservation
and sustainable use worldwide. The MAB Programme joined the CFA
in 2004.
The CFA has produced a comprehensive Conservation
Finance Guide that outlines a large number of instruments for financing
of nature conservation and protected area management. An English
version of the Guide is available on-line and on CD. Some chapters
already exists in Spanish and MAB and other CFA Members are committed
to support the translation of the Guide into French.
