Target audience : primary and secondary schools
Objective : develop twinning between classrooms of biosphere
reserves to :
- Share knowledge in a partnership spirit
- Develop various activities (scientific, literacy, artistic,
language) from biosphere resources : nature, human activities,
landscapes…
Organization : During the academic year, classroom of biosphere
reserves at same level work together on a theme jointly selected.
It would be better if the education project is implemented through
a transversal approach, with a team composed ideally of several
teachers, or at least two (sciences, plastic arts, history-geography,
language…) for secondary level.
Children are exchanging through letters, email, texts, drawings
and are creating tools (CDRoms, exhibitions…) to discover their
site or specific parts of it. If possible, they can meet at the
end of the year, through exchange journeys or youth forums (this
needs logistics and financial supports and entails responsibilities
issues).
Modalities : an exchange grant can assist in identifying
the twinning partner.
The information below have to be put on line, either at the end
of the academic year (May - June for a twining during the
following year), or at the start of the academic year (September).
