The winner of the Michel Batisse Award for Biosphere Reserve Management: Ms Birgit Reutz-Hornsteiner (Austria) "Taking the future in our own hands" - The Biosphere Reserve Grosses Walsertal in Austria - a living model of sustainable regional development with the participation of the local people - the first five years as a member in the worldwide MAB network.
