| General Description |
The landscape is typically mountainous with important influences from the last glaciations, dominated by the Andes Mountains in the western areas and Sub-Andean plains and plateaus eastward. In the mountain area the presence of large bodies of water is highlighted such as the lakes: Nahuel Huapi, Lácar, Traful, Mascardi, Gutierrez, Rivadavia, Puelo, Futalaufquen, among others, and a network of drainage of high density in wide alluvial plains and with various levels of terraces. The biosphere reserve is comprised of: • Protected areas of national jurisdiction and domain, run by the National Parks Administration. These are: National Park Reserve and National Lanin; National Park and Nahuel Huapi National Reserve, National Park Arrayanes; National Park and Lake Puelo National Reserve and National Park Reserve and National Alerces. • Territories of jurisdiction and/or jurisdiction and mastery of the Province of Black River • Territories of jurisdiction and/or jurisdiction and domain of the Chubut Province. • Lands of jurisdiction of the Municipalities of El Bolson in Rio Province Black • Lands of jurisdiction of the Municipalities of Esquel and Trevelin in Chubut Province |
