| General Description |
According to the geological structure, the type of the relief, the soils, the vegetation, the area of the BR is divided into: Zhiguli, wooded plateau of Samarskaya Luka, Forest-steppe plateau of Samarskaya Luka, Perevoloki-Usa landscape, Rozhdestveno landscape, Volga flood-lands and islands, Racheika pinery, Muranka pinery, Klimovka Chalky Hills some landscapes POPULATION: constant season The main zone: absent 30 The buffer zone: 20 thousand 20 thousand The transitional zone: 80 thousand 40 thousand NATURE MANAGEMENT AND KINDS OF ACTIVITIES: Using and kinds of activities in the main zone: protection of the forbidden territory; scientific researches and monitoring; recovery of components of the ecosystems; ecological enlightenment and education. The main kinds of land use and economic activities in the buffer zone: regulated forest management; agriculture (plant growing, cattle-breeding); biotechnical and regulation actions; conduction of recultivation of lands, damaged for mineral extraction; mental and ecological enlightenment; recreation (tourist hikes, works, plant collecting, fishing); water use. |

| Administrative authorities | Machinery of government of the BR: Coordinating Council, formed from the leaderships of interested organizations and institutions. The main zone: Administrations of the Zhigulyovsk State Nature Preserve and Samarskaya Luka National Park, functioning on the basis of the Regulations about the Zhiguli Preserve, Regulations about Samarskaya Luka National Park and Legislation of the RF. Buffer zone: Administration of Zhigulyovsk; the Ministry of the Natural Resources and environment protection of the Samara Region; agricultural enterprises and Councils of local governments, acting according to the Regulations. Mechanisms of interaction: Coordinating Council will regulate the organizations and institutions, situated in the BR territory according to acting legislation and in the interests of steady development of the Region. | |||
