      Biosphere Reserve Information

Brief description   A strategy aiming at institutional synergy for the management of research is implemented in this site, with the intention of facilitating the development of prioritized research in basic and applied sciences, with participation of research centres, universities and local, regional and international experts. A monitoring for monitoring of natural resources is also developed generating information about groups and / or species for conservation such as jaguars (Panthera onca), American crocodile (Crocodylus acutus) and spider monkey (Attel geofroyii). A programme for monitoring the quantity and quality of water is also carried out.
