Colombia

Constitution as adopted on 5 July 1991.

Article 10

    Castilian is the official language of Colombia. The languages and dialects of ethnic groups are also official in their territories. Education in communities with their own linguistic traditions shall be bilingual.

Article 13

    Everyone is born free and equal before the law and shall receive the same protection and treatment from authorities as well as enjoy the same rights, freedoms and opportunities without any discrimination based on sex, race, national or family origin, language, religion, political or philosophical opinions.
