This is to inform you on several developments in UNESCO/MOST's
Clearing House on Religious Rights.
In the framework of UNESCO/MOST's discussion forum on "Democratic governance
in multireligious societies" (http://www.unesco.org/most/rr2dis.htm),
Vol 1(1) of the MOST Electronic Journal on Multicultural Societies is soon
to appear on the Internet. It will include the following articles:
Vol 1(2) of the MOST Electronic Journal will continue debating the issues
raised in Vol 1(1).
Papers should focus on the theoretical analysis of the relation of human
rights and democracy to religious diversity, on empirical case studies
of religious pluralism and/or religious conflict, and on the formulation
and empirical assessment of public policies aimed at managing religious
diversity.
Contributors are invited to submit independent papers, or to comment
on one of the articles of Vol1(1). Guidelines for contributors can be found
under http://www.unesco.org/most/rr2dis1.htm.
Deadline for submission of papers to Vol 2(2) of the MOST Electronic
Journal is 15 June 1999.
