Initiated by the French National Centre of Scientific Research (CNRS -Interdisciplinary Programme of Research on the City), the « City words » project is now constituting the subject matter of one of the research groups of the CNRS (GDR 1554). This project is also supported by the French Ministry of Education and Research, the MSH Foundation (Paris, France), and the MMSH (Mediterranean Centre for Human Sciences, Aix-en-Provence, France).
