Religious Rights are,
on the most fundamental level, implemented in national constitutions or
constitution acts. To strenghten a comparative perspective in social science
research on governance in multi-faith societies as well as in policy-making,
UNESCO's MOST Programme has collected constitutional provisions pertaining
to the rights to non-discrimination and equality, to the freedom of religion
or belief, and to the rights of persons belonging to religious minorities.
The texts of national constitutions were analyzed and reproduced on the basis of the information provided by the International Constitutional Law (ICL) project at the University of Wuerzburg/Germany.
