LégislationThe National Commission was established by the Federal Cabinet on 29 April 1947.
Its terms of reference have been approved by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Structure de la CommissionThe National Commission consists of the following bodies:
- The General Assembly, which meets two times a year;
- The Secretariat.
Membres/CompositionThe Membership of the Australian Commission includes representatives of Ministries, national organizations and institutions, parliamentarians and experts in their personal capacities.
Assemblée généraleThe National Commission meets in full (General Assembly) twice per annum.
Coopération avec l’UNESCO et d'autres Commissions nationales
Vue d'ensembleThe National Commission cooperates with the National Commissions of Asia and the Pacific and maintains regular working relations with the UNESCO Field Offices of Apia, Bangkok and Jakarta.
