Structure de la Commission
The National Commission meets at least once per year in General Assembly. The Commission is divided into sub-Committees, each being in charge of one of the following Sectors: Education; Science; Technology; Culture; and Communication. These sub-Committees meet at least once a term.
Membres/Composition
The Members of the National Commission mainly represent Ministries, national institutions and non-governmental organizations related to UNESCO's fields of competence. There are sub-Committees for Education, Science and Technology, Culture and Communication.

The Commission has sub-committees for education, science and technology, culture and communication. They try to meet at least once per term.
The National Commission manages the UNESCO Clubs of the country through a National Co-ordination affiliated to the WFUCA.
Coopération avec l’UNESCO et d'autres Commissions nationales
Vue d'ensemble
The Guyana National Commission has cooperated with other National Commissions and also works continuously with the UNESCO Field Offices. The National Commission generally collaborates with the National Commissions of the Caribbean and had been working closely with UNESCO/Port-of-Spain. It also cooperates with the Education, Culture and Communication Advisers of UNESCO/Kingston, especially within the framework of the project "Focus on the Caribbean" which deals with human development and sustainable living in the region. Guyana has also participated in the activties of CARNEID, the Caribbean Network for Educational Innovation for Development. The Caribbean Sea/Sandwatch Project has been the means of bringing Guyana into contact with other ASP countries in the region especially through the Workshops organized within the Project. The Guyana National Commission has also given support to projects of both Antigua and Barbuda and the Bahamas recently.
