A small library has been established within the quarters of the Secretariat. All important UNESCO documents, reports and publications are kept in it. A database of the library contents has been created and saved informatically.
Structure of the Commission
The National Commission consists of the following bodies:
- The General Assembly (40 members), which meets once a year;
- The Executive Bureau (14 members), which meets every two months;
- A Nomination Committee, consisting of 12 members;
- Publication and Information Committee, consisting of 6 members;
- Specialized Committees, which are created on an ad hoc basis. 5 Programme Committees, which meet when required. These Committees are respectively for: the Man and the Biosphere Programme (MAB); the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) and the International Hydrological Programme (IHP); the management of social transformation programme (MOST) and the international bioethics committee.

Members/Composition
As a governmental body, the National Commission is composed of some 40 members representing different Ministries, national organizations and academic institutions specialized in the fields of competence of UNESCO.
Interaction with UNESCO and National Commissions
Overview
The Jordan National Commission for Education, Culture and Science collaborates with other National Commissions from the Arab Region and maintains good working relations with the UNESCO Field Offices in Amman (Jordan), Beirut (Lebanon), and Cairo (Egypt).
